Warmer weather means vacation plans for many families. We’ve put together a list of our favorite travel apps and websites to help you plan the perfect vacation for you and your family.

Google Flights

Google Flights is not an app, but it is an incredible website which allows you to compare prices among multiple airlines within the click of a button. Simply enter your destination, number of passengers, and dates and Google Flights will do the rest. It also allows you to compare direct flights and times within a few minutes. It will then link you directly to the airline website to finalize your purchase. The only drawback is that it may not include all budget carriers. (Southwest is not included in the results either.)

Roadtrippers

If you are not a frequent flyer or prefer road trips, Roadtrippers is an app available on your smart phone that helps organize your trip. Not only does it help you plan your own routes, you can also choose from other routes that others have already planned. The app can also point out popular restaurants and interesting sights to see along the way.

Yuggler

For families, Yuggler is a popular app available on your iPhone that can help you discover family-friendly activities for your next family trip. It also allows you to see hundreds of reviews from fellow parents to help make sure that your trip will be memorable and within your budget.

bSafe

The bSafe app is a personal safety app that was not originally designed for traveling, but can be useful for solo travelers. With a few clicks, you can notify friends or family when you are leaving your destination and when you arrive back to your hotel. It also works without a WiFi connection, which is useful for international travelers.

Smart Traveler

If you travel abroad, it’s important to know your travel risks in and around your destination. That’s where the official State Department app comes in. This app provides access to the State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, which helps assist you in emergencies while abroad. You can also access travel alerts, warnings, maps, U.S. embassy locations, and other useful information to help you worry less and travel more.
